What this service is

Grand Rapids Window Pros is a referral and advertising service. We connect homeowners with independent window installation companies. We are not a contractor, and we do not sell, install, inspect, warranty or price windows, pull permits or negotiate contracts.

Free and no obligation

Using the site and requesting quotes is free for homeowners. You are never obligated to hire any company that contacts you.

How we're paid

Installers may pay Grand Rapids Window Pros a flat fee per request they receive. We are not paid a commission on any contract you sign, and payment does not mean we endorse or rank any company.

Installers are independent

Each installer is an independent business responsible for its own work, pricing, licensing, insurance and warranties. Before you hire anyone, you are responsible for checking:

• Their Michigan license. In Michigan, a contractor replacing windows on your home generally needs a state residential builder or maintenance & alteration license (jobs of $600 or more). Ask for the license number and check it on LARA's license lookup (or call 517-241-9316).
• Proof of insurance.
• EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm status if your home was built before 1978.
• A written contract covering scope, price, payment schedule and warranty.
• Your cancel right. If you sign a contract at home, Michigan law lets you cancel until midnight of the third business day (MCL 445.112).
